[The Wisdom of a Distracted Mind] Ticking Away...

Here's a picture of my Ikea clock. It's actually a bit of a souvenir in that I picked it up about 15 years ago at the Ikea in Eindhoven, Holland for like Guilder or two. Obviously, you could make one for a lot cheaper if you just go pick up some barely-functional, battery-powered clock innards and a pizza. If you'r really ambitious, you can cut some holes in it where you'd like some of the hours to be, and Bob's yer uncle.

Seriously. That's all it is --a round hunk of cardboard with some plastic bits that tell time.

Nonetheless, on the plus side, do you have any idea how many times that thing's fallen off the wall? It is absolutely indestructible. In fact, on a windy day, I can sometimes find it all the way on the other side of the house.

Greatest clock ever, I think.

  1. So one question what does a person do for a living that allows them time to be so baffled by so many things?  I have often wondered this because I barely have time to consider certain things much less come up with an informed opinion on them. Your thoughts are quite entertaining though so please keep finding the time for it.
