[The Wisdom of a Distracted Mind] Where's Waldo?

Yeah. I know. It's a little bit blurry, but this is actually a 100% crop of a picture of the ants who are still working their way around my lovage plant.

Now, as fascinating as that is, the thing that really caught my eye was seeing my own reflection on the shiny ass of an ant.

Weird.

Freaky!

If you look closely, you can actually see me hunched over getting the shot. And, you can see the clouds in the sky and a bit of my neighbor's roof behind me.

Had I known that an ant's backside was going to be that reflective, I'd have made a funny face or something.

So, nonetheless, this gives me an idea for a photo challenge of my own. And no. I'm not going to send you out to get a picture of you reflected on a bug's butt, but how about you go out and get a picture of yourselves reflected on something other than the usual reflective surface (no mirrors)?

Does that sound like a fun thing to do? You don't have to put any text in there. In fact, don't put any text in there. Let us work to find you.

If you feel like taking part, go ahead and post the picture to your blogs and journals, and leave a link in the comments.

As for deadlines, we'll say Monday or Tuesday. Whichever works.

Have fun.

  1. Amazing! What a stroke of luck to find yourself on an ant's ass. Only wish I could see it more clearly.  Great job.

  4. Wonder if this ant ever thought that so many people would be scrutinizing it's ass.....  hmmm, never thought *I* would, either, admittedly.

Now, that photo challenge is a challenge.  I won't be able to participate in those time limits, but I like it and will stay thinking about it with the idea of trying it sometime.
