I'm not a huge fan of snow globes, but thanks to the crazy kids at Metafilter, I think I found some snow globes that are an absolutely must have. Talk about dark!
Unfortunately, they ring in at around $750 a pop for these unique little pieces of fascinatingly morbid kitsch. But, if nothing else, these are my kind of conversation pieces. You throw some of these on your mantle, and well... People are going to talk.
Even better, when these people talk, I think most of them will say something along the lines of "Oh gee! Would you look at the time? We really must be going."
Anyway, these little works of art were created by Walter Martin and Paloma Muñoz, and I warn you, some of them are pretty creepy, but they are, if nothing else, very original. I suppose if the Addams Family collected snow globes, you'd definitely find these displayed quite proudly.
Neat, huh?
So, who wants to... umm... loan me $750?
