I Think I Must Have This!

    Yes.  That's bacon ice cream.

    Bacon!  In ice cream!

It's one of my favorite things added to another of my favorite things.  In summer, no less.  I think I may need to use this bacon ice cream to create that ever elusive perfect "Beer Float."

After all, adding ice cream to beer just doesn't seem to come out as good as you'd think.

Anyway, in case you're anywhere in the Delaware (Del-uhh-where?) area, drop in on this guy's shop to have a scoop or two of something really weird.  I mean, he makes barbecue ice-cream for pete's sake!

So, how about you?  Would you be adventurous enough to eat any strange ice cream flavors, or do you tend to play it safe?

  1. Ummmm nope! I have had chillie flavoured, chocolate covered crisps though (chips to you lot). I have also eaten see slugs in Korea and sea snails in Japan. Also a delicacy called kimchi in korea made out of rotten cabbage and garlic witch lays rotting in the ground for a year. Trust me, it tastes like a dog shit in yer mouth!

  2. I would TOTALLY try the bacon ice cream.  I don't know how much I would eat... but I would try it.  Barbecue?  Nah... that's a condiment not a meal... now bacon can be a whole meal for those of us who go that way... LOL

Did you see my lol?  lol

    be well,

  5. Believe it or not, just 2 days ago I had a green bean ice pop. It was given to me by the guy who does my nails...he's Viet Namese. Honestly, it wasn't bad, but I'm not ready to trade in ice cream sandwiches for it.

  6. Barbeque, or peach, yep.  All sorts of great flavors, yep.  I love ice cream.  I ate a coconut and nut combination type yesterday.  Homemade pumpkin is one of my favorites.  I don't think I'd chose bacon ice cream (likely in part as I don't eat pork).   Hmmm, wonder if they make a good Old Bay ice cream?  Now THAT, I'd consider traveling to buy.  Sticking Old Bay chips into (good) vanilla ice cream will have to suffice in the interim, I suppose:)

  7. I'm not exactly lactose intolerant , I just have to watch the amount of milk, cream in a product. So on occasion I will eat ice cream. But I highly doubt I would if it meant some kind of weird flavoring. Simply because for me it seems like it would end up covering up the fact that it is what it is and I would end up doubled over and in immense pain. So I take my little jaunts into ice cream land with flavors I enjoy, yet keep me aware they will have their revenge if I'm not careful. (Hugs) Indigo

  10. Hi !!!!!!! After reading your entry I went to my journal and mentioned it in my latest update. I have to say that I wish I could go there and try some of the ice cream. However I don't know about the Mushroom Ice Cream or the Barbecue. I think that Barbecue is only good on 1 thing......meat. I would like to try their chocolate though. I so enjoy coming to visit and see what you will share with us. Thanks again for sharing this. With you I always find that you show me things that I have never known which I appreciate very much. What would we do without you ???

    Thanks again.
