Say hello to Fat Bastard...
This squirrel, whose mouth is always full of something, has been wobbling his corpulence from one end of the yard to the other over the past couple of days. Aside from that, the only other exercise he's been getting is to try and scratch loose whatever underfed louse, flea or tick has foolishly found its way onto his hide only to find an impenetrable layer of blubber rather than a source of nutrients.
I figure that by the end of the month, I will probably be able to hear this round little rodent's nose whistling from the boughs and branches above me as his breathing becomes as labored as that of a fat man on a flight of stairs.
He's a cute little butterball, though. He just doesn't really move too quickly. But, obviously, he's well fed (I don't know how since I'm not giving him anything).

Ha! We have several, too, and our generic name for these guys is Big Fat Squirrel. When they sit on the feeder (an ear of corn stuck on a nail), they look like a furry Buddha. We have another smaller squirrel we call Piney Squirrel, and he's very hyper, with quick moves like Ninja. Fun to see the Wisconsin cousin of Big Fat Squirrel!

Orrrr, maybe he is a she and you're about to have a few baby squirrels running around. They're actually pretty cute and chase eachother up and down trees until they hit puberty and fight for the tree.
