[The Wisdom of a Distracted Mind] A Web of Ice...

In a rush... But, here are some picture of a frozen web I found on the back window of my Jeep earlier today. It's kind of neat.

Yeah... I don't think that spider is going to be catching anything other than frostbite.

  2. Honestly, this has to be one of the coolest spider pics I have seen in a long time.  Typically, spiderwebs are not seen in the depths of winter, especially not in the frozen tundra.

  3. What a bizarre find. Have you not moved your Jeep since August?

  4. I never thought I would find creepy crawly spiders interesting, but this actually is.

    Great pics Dan!

  5. Unless he's gawn south for the winter I think that spider's gonna need his thermal socks.

  6. That is supercool, and some beautiful pictures. While I don't like spiders much, I've learned to live with them, since we have a place in the country. I also appreciate them for eating so many bugs. I just don't want them crawling on me.

I read a statistic a while back that said that people swallow an average of a half a dozen or so spiders, during their lifetime, in their sleep. Think about it...you're lying on your back, sleeping soundly, and your mouth falls open. A spider drops down from the ceiling, right into your mouth. Does it wake you up? Probably not. You swallow Spidey and you don't even know it. Yikes!
