[The Wisdom of a Distracted Mind] It's winter in summer...

Falls
Now, as some of you know,a while back, I got an infrared filter which I wasn't entirely happy with. So, I ordered a replacement from Hoya, and I can honestly say that has made a huge, huge difference.

The picture you see here is an example of that filter. Of course, I still have to dial in the white balance, but as you can see, even without it set to any IR channel, the results are pretty good.

Other than that, the day has been busy.

Anyway, I hope you all like the picture.

Ciao!

  1. Supercool. But is the waterfall really there, or did you blend two pictures together? It looks very surreal. And wintry!

  2. Much more vivid than your previous efforts, I like it.

If you get a chance, e-mail me the details on the lens, I would like to get a similar one :o)

    Thanks,

  4. Yep.  The waterfall is really there.  The edge is just really sharp because we've not had all that much rain lately.  I was hoping there'd be more water rushing over.

  5. I like it, it's hauntingly surreal. Like something out of a movie where you expect something to jump out at you...(Hugs)Indigo

  6. I just realized something I thought the waterfall was a deep pond with stones and trickling off the sides, whoa weirdness. (Hugs)Indy

  7. This is just too weird for me. Now when someone in the future looks at this they may think it is real? Oh boy! What the heck will it do with a picture of a person? Or a dog...frozen Spot!
