Something to Think About...

It's Father's Day here on planet earth.  So, to all you father's out there, I hope you manage to enjoy the day in the best of ways possible.

Anyway, I'm probably going to be out doing what I can to see that my own father doesn't do a damn thing today other than lounge around, but I figured before I run off, I wanted to get your thoughts on the following:

    Tolerance

I'm curious to know what that word means to you.  So, please feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section, and I'll post my own thoughts (and why this word is on my mind), either later today or tomorrow.

    So, have a great day!

  1. Letting people live their lives without fear of persecution from others. Letting others have a lifestyle whether it's religious, sexual or racial and wanting to learn from their diffrences. A common goal to live in peace and harmony.

  2. Respecting people for who they are even if your beliefs are not the same.
There is a lot of diversity in this world. If you cant be tolerant of others it makes for miserable times. Same as with children. You have to be tolerant with them to teach them to be tolerant with others.

  3. You mean like if you drop acid every day and then you have to take a break cuz you don't trip anymore cuz you built up a tolerance? That happens man. It sucks. --Cin

  4. The ability to continue to befriend someone, love them despite differences in opinion. Then again it could mean building a thick skin with those who practice injustice and adversity at every turn of the corner. (Hugs) Indigo

  6. Wow... I just read the comments... and Gaz's summed up mine perfectly.  Of course, there are other kinds of tolerance too... like the kind Cin mentioned, which can happen with legal drugs too, and tolerating the hubby thing... lol

    be well,
