Dan, even I have the good sense to write an entry on Notepad or another Windows program before copying and pasting it in to my journal. I hate writing the same thing twice, it's never the same the second time around.
I always type my journals in Email form and then copy and paste to my journal. I learned a long time ago not to type it in the journal first. It is such a horrible feeling when you feel you just created a masterpiece (cough cough), and it disappears when you hit send.
I'm a pretty boring guy for a screaming-mad lunatic. And, when I am not chasing squirrels around the yard demanding that they stop speaking Swedish, I can usually be found pecking away at a keyboard trying to write a book (or two).
All-in-all, it's a pretty fun life --if not at least a little challenging.
Oh goodie, perfect timing for me to make an entry then. . . since AOL's belly is full there is little chance of it eating mine.

Now do you believe me when I say AOL is secretly run by the damn Amish?
