Land 'O Lakes, Florida -- The stories in the news about inappropriate relationships between teachers and students have been overwhelming. There was even a substitute teacher in New Port Richey who got in trouble after investigators say she had a relationship with an underage student.
Well, another Pasco County substitute teacher's job is on the line, but this time it's because of a magic trick.
The charge from the school district — Wizardry!
(full story)
When it comes to the United States, Florida is pretty much the drunk uncle no one likes to talk about. After all, there's a pretty good reason why it's got its own category on Fark.
Anyway, I move that Floridians demand that the bustling hive of occultism in Orlando --often referred to with the rather malevolent appellation: "Magic Kingdom"-- be shut down as soon as humanly --nay Godly!-- possible. Finally, my dreams of witnessing the immolation of that troublesome rodent may come true! After all, sorcery is a far worse crime than simple wizardry, and though he may yet be but a lowly apprentice, Mickey's corruption of our children can not be ignored!
I suppose Goofy's safe since this isn't Texas.
Still... Firing a teacher for "wizardry?!?" In the 21st Century?!? In America?!? It boggles the mind, it does.
Stay stupid, Flori-duh!
